Timothy L. Tonsor
Vice President of Canine Operations

Mr. Tonsor came to Covenant Homeland Security Solutions with more than twenty years of law enforcement experience as a military police officer in the United States Marine Corps and civilian law enforcement officer in North Carolina. As a police officer for the City of High Point North Carolina Mr. Tonsor started and managed a nationally recognized law enforcement canine detection program where he selected, trained and managed canines, handlers and field officers in narcotics and explosives canine detection, as well as patrol operations. After retiring from law enforcement in 2001 Mr. Tonsor worked as an explosives canine trainer and program director for explosives detector canine operations at Department of Energy sites in Oak Ridge, TN and Los Alamos, NM. Mr. Tonsor has also worked as a consultant for the development of explosives detection programs for private security.

Since coming to CHSS Mr. Tonsor has successfully managed a growing canine program. He manages Covenant Farms, a 22 acre full service kenneling and canine training facility, where canines and handlers are trained for operations. Mr. Tonsor has also executed and managed several contracts for CHSS with overseas operations for the military and domestic operations for the Department of Energy and the Internal Revenue Service.
