Covenant was founded in 1992 to provide highly trained and motivated protective security forces to government agencies and select commercial customers. Building on Covenant's reputation for first class delivery of high-quality service and cost-effective contract administration, the Covenant companies have enjoyed over seventeen years of growth while extending its core competencies and maintaining an unparalleled commitment to performance.
Covenant has over a billion dollars of successfully contracted history. We currently operate government and commercial contracts in excess of $170,000,000 annually; have more than 2,800 employees; and we’re licensed to provide security services in every state of the U.S., the District of Columbia and the territory of Guam. We have worked in 33 countries, 38 states and Washington, D.C.
Covenant successfully operates in armed/unarmed – union/non-union environments and we pride ourselves in providing living wages and benefits to our employees. Covenant, legally speaking, is the combination of the resources and expertise of three companies: Covenant Services Worldwide, LLC (CSW), Covenant Aviation Security, LLC (CAS), and Covenant Security Services, Ltd. (CSS). Even though each of these companies is a stand-alone legal entity, we operate as one company with three missions.
The Covenant operating companies have been organized to concentrate on specific business lines within the security industry. By organizing in this manner, we can:
- Employ a senior management team responsible for each company that is highly experienced in that specific industry segment;
- More efficiently dedicate and redirect needed resources to ensure the success of the contracts held by that business unit;
- More precisely concentrate our management attention to ensure that superior performance levels are maintained.
- Provide skilled business services support to transition the most challenging of security objectives involving demanding timelines and unique security and logistical issues.

CSW is located in the Chicago area and serves as the “parent” and provides all centralized business support services to the two operating companies – CAS and CSS. As the name implies – Covenant Aviation Security, LLC, headquartered in Winter Springs, FL – concentrates on the aviation security marketplace and serves both government and commercial clients. Covenant Security Services, Ltd. is headquartered in Philadelphia, PA and provides a great variety of security services to government agencies and select commercial clients.
Being organized in this manner allows us to share resources and expertise among all the companies, while enjoying the financial efficiencies of “centralized support services” and the operational agility of “decentralized operations.” In addition to allowing us to provide more cost efficient/high quality services to our clients, this organizational model also enables us to provide them with the enhanced level of responsiveness and care they deserve.
